The University Grants Commission (UGC) launched a scheme called as National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) in 2013. The motive of NSQF is to imbibe in the learners knowledege, skills and aptitutde. The learning is given in stages. With each stage, the learner is equipped with theoretical as well as practical knowledgee. The courses are designed to give the students hands-on experience i.e. more practical exposure. In this sense, the NSQF is a quality assurance framework. The vocational programmes as a result of NSQF could be a game changer in long term.

In accordance to UGC and NSQF, K.R.T. Arts, B.H. Commerce & A.M. Science (K.T.H.M.) College, Nashik started with two Vocational programmes. In the Academic Year, 2018-19, three more Vocational Programmes were added. The Department of B.Voc Mass Media programme was one of them.
